VISNUPRIYA-GAURANGA TRILOGY PART ONE by Gadadhara-prana dasa

$15.00

A detailed account of Vishnupriya and Gauranga's madhura lila.

Collected from a host of Gaudiya mahajanas and consummate Gaura bhaktas.

From the foreword of the book:

“This book has three parts. Part One and Part Two focus on Vishnupriya's sadness in separation from Gauranga.

Part Three narrates her eternal happiness with Gauranga in Goloka Navadvipa dhama. When dining in Bengal, there is a custom :

age titha, pore mitha

"First serve the bitter, then serve the sweets."

It is true, if we eat the bitter preparations first, which are good for our health and digestion, the sweet preparations become more enjoyable and delicious. When relishing transcendental mellows, this is the rasa-riti (custom) as well:

The viraha distress that a bhakta awakens for his beloved Bhagavan ultimately brings about his exciting union with him.

But let us remember, without our experiencing intense viraha, our madhura milan with Sri Bhagavan will never be possible at all.”
